Cleveland Indians: Jose Ramirez doing fine after injury scare
Cleveland Indians fans were scared Thursday afternoon when Jose Ramirez left the game after being hit by a pitch, but it turns out he is just fine.
The Cleveland Indians picked up a sixth straight win Thursday afternoon, and are now seven games up on the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central, while the Kansas City Royals sit six games back.
The win was great, but disaster seemingly struck in the second inning.
Jose Ramirez was hit by a pitch on the wrist and had to leave the game, causing many on Twitter to assume the worst and begin discussing what to do in Ramirez’s absence. Luckily, there is no reason for doom and gloom.

The negative X-rays likely mean Ramirez’s only injury is a bruise, and the fact he could be available tonight is uplifting news. However, it wouldn’t hurt to give him the night off just for some rest in general.
Fans of any professional sports team are always wary of the potential for an injury at any point in time, but Indians fans are especially on edge after all the injuries suffered in 2016. Seeing a stroke of good luck when it comes to an injury scare is quite a nice change.
Losing Ramirez would not have meant all hope was lost, but it would have been a significant loss.

But there is no need to think about what could have been, as he is healthy and continues to be a key piece in this lineup.
