The news cycle surrounding the Cleveland Indians has been incredibly slow in November, but that should change in December.

November is nearly over after a slow month of news for Cleveland Indians fans.

The team made a few minor roster moves, but the likes of Carlos Santana, Jay Bruce, Bryan Shaw and Austin Jackson remain unsigned as the hot stove is set to heat up.

So what is there to be excited about as November comes to a close? Eels.

The slow news cycle has led to a picture of Jason Kipnis fist bumping an eel to make the news, and frankly, I’m excited. While I miss Indians baseball, it was nice to have a month to relax and recover from the early October exit.

December brings the beginning of free agent signings, which continues in January. Then spring training kicks off in February, and before we know it, the season will begin at the end of March.

But for now, we can look at Instagram posts of Jason Kipnis startling an eel in the deep seas. The caption in the tweet says it is a friendly fist bump, but the eel doesn’t look too amused.

Needless to say, I’m excited for some hot stove action before I go crazy. I hope Kipnis had fun on his vacation, but it is certainly not the news I hope to cover this time of year.

The hot stove may bring some disappointing results with it, but it is also possible the Indians make some splashes in free agency. Shaw is likely to be gone, but Jackson and Santana are still potential returns. Bruce seems to be gone unless his value drops drastically.
