Cleveland Indians fans may be staring at mounds of snow right now, but that doesn’t mean they can’t rep some new gear around the holidays.

Baseball season seems years away as snow continues to fall in and around Northeast Ohio, but at least it’s a holiday weekend.

Cleveland Indians fans can hide inside and throw a tennis ball at a couch all day to keep that arm loose for the season. Is that just me who does that?

But all this bad weather doesn’t mean fans of all ages aren’t excited about Indians baseball, especially after receiving some awesome gifts.

I personally got both a Francisco Lindor and an Edwin Encarnacion jersey shirt, which I will now wear every single day, replacing the Shin-Soo Choo shirt I should probably retire. I didn’t go too wild when opening my gifts, but I know that isn’t true for everyone.

Videos like this are just awesome and show how special a sports team can be to a kid, or honestly those of any age. You know he will be proudly wearing that jersey all year long while he cheers on his favorite team.

Giving a gift like this is just as good as receiving one, and it is nice that sports can provide such excitement. I wonder if there are similar videos of people opening up boxes with Browns jerseys inside.

Now is the perfect time of year to stock up on gear, and schools will be filled with kids showing off their new jerseys, shirts and everything Indians once break is over.

The slow time of year will continue in January, but at least the team can still make people smile while we wait for the games to return.
