2018 is nearly here and it is a perfect time for Cleveland Indians fans to set some New Year’s resolutions focusing on the team.

Gyms around the country will be filled next week as the New Year’s resolutions make a triumphant return at the start of 2018.

Whether you make a bunch of resolutions or think the concept is silly, the start of a new year is a fun time to set some goals, whether they be major or minor.

Cleveland Indians fans can have some fun with the concept by setting some resolutions that focus on the team, as these resolutions can be made with others as well. Plus, not completing them doesn’t result in any shame.

Here are a few that could be fun goals to set at the start of the new year.

No. 1: Watch at least one inning of all 162 games

This may be the loftiest goal of them all. Being able to watch every inning of all 162 games may  not be possible, but even taking in an inning of every game would be quite a fun accomplishment. It would allow you to shut down hot takes from those who don’t watch often, and it would just be fun to see the team progress throughout the year.

This may be one that is hard to do with another person, unless they are also a diehard Indians fan.

No. 2: Take in at least one game at Progressive Field

This is the easiest resolution of the three. This is a simple one for those who live in and around Cleveland, and for those who do not, this resolution allows for the perfect summer trip.

The schedule is already out and while single-game tickets aren’t on sale yet, this resolution gives you an excuse to plan a summer trip while cursing the snow to go away.

No. 3: Make it to the home opener

This is something I have only personally done once, but I am making it a goal of mine in 2018 to attend the home opener on April 6.

This is a tough one because it requires one to be ready at the computer for when the tickets go on sale, if you don’t want to pay an insane amount on the resale market. But there is a special feel to Opening Day and the potential stress of the buying process will be worth it in April.

These are just a few fun resolutions, but I’m sure there are countless more. Do you have any Indians-specific resolutions for 2018?
