Cleveland Indians: The most insane hot take of them all

Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber hasn’t been himself as of late, leading to one of the most insane hot takes ever to be spoken into existence.

Cleveland Indians fans are a rational bunch. Well, at least most of them.

Corey Kluber had himself the worst start of his career just a few days ago when he allowed six runs before even making it out of the second inning. It was an odd sight to see, almost like seeing a superhero look mortal, but it was bound to happen eventually.

But don’t tell that to some fans out there who determined Kluber is no longer good.

One hot take in particular made its way around Twitter yesterday and I have to admit, I can’t stop watching. Here it is:

Poor Bruce.

The most insane part of this hot take is that it is entirely genuine. This caller actually believes that Kluber should be traded to acquire some bullpen arms. The same Kluber who is an Indians legend in his prime who is also on an insanely team-friendly deal that could last through 2021.

I’m not sure whether to laugh at this or slam my head down on my desk. What is wrong with some people?

I never understand people who panic at the first sight of trouble and demand the team trade its best player or start a rebuild after a bad stretch of games. Blame Sam Hinkie, I suppose.

If you know someone with such hot takes, please tell them to calm down. The Indians are already cruising to another AL Central title and Corey Kluber is still in contention for the AL Cy Young Award. One bad start is going to happen from time to time.
