It appears the Twins and White Sox are trying to make this a tighter division. The Cleveland Indians have some work to do to keep the AL Central in their control.

Well, the one Monday of the year that we expect to be fun turned out to be boring with an awfully dull national championship game. But we did have some intriguing MLB news, especially for the Cleveland Indians.

The Indians didn’t make any moves themselves, but other teams in the AL Central are trying to contend. Okay, so the Twins news isn’t that big, but they’ve made some interesting additions this offseason to try and stay on track, especially after a disappointing 2018 season. Now the Twins have signed Blake Parker. A veteran relief pitcher with a 3.29 career ERA. Not bad, and at least someone is trying to boost their bullpen (considering we don’t seem to want to).

Now some big news in the AL Central. The White Sox are building, and they aren’t done yet. They made not, one… but two moves on Monday. One move was to bolster their bullpen, as they’ve added Kelvin Herrera after his time in Kansas City. The other was adding Jon Jay. Jay is a close friend of Manny Machado. All of this is considered to be part of their big push to add the free agent SS/3B.

You’re probably thinking, “Carson, this is an Indians blog. Where is the Indians news?” Well, there isn’t any. But Trevor Bauer is trying to make some news of his own. This news is tedious, and I almost feel like I’m working for TMZ by writing this. But here we are… the low point of the winter. Trevor Bauer… *sigh*… Bauer got in a twitter argument with a girl.

I don’t know anything about the girl and frankly, I don’t care. But Bauer went in a prolonged debate as he does and apparently the Indians are feeling touchy on the subject. This is stupid and if you come at Trevor Bauer on Twitter, just know he will be relentless in his rebuttal

I just hope Bauer is this relentless on the mound in 2019… on the mound for the Indians that is. So there you have it. It’s slow news time. It feels like we’re waiting for another big Indians move… and one is certainly coming
